My cataract surgery went well. They told me I have 20/20 in my left eye now. My right eye is currently 20/30 so I debating if I should proceed with the surgery. on my right eye. My husband had both of his eyes done and his vision is 20/30. Anyone else have thoughts on this?
I hope everyone's new year is off to a good start. My Christmas decor is now put away and I have to say, the house look empty. A great time to de-clutter and deep clean.
I am also working on a Valentine's tablescape for a blog hop on January 28th.
Last year's was Love Your Beary Much
Last week, I shared my New Year's table with gold and black. A very elegant look.

Your Tablescapes are always inspiring. I'm looking forward to your creations in the months ahead. Karen (Back Road Journal)
ReplyDeleteI don't think I'd bother with the other eye now. If you're doing 2 eyes on 2 different eye drop schedules, that's what's the biggest pain about having cataract surgery! and 20/30 isn't that bad. Thanks for a fantastic 2024 and looking forward to starting each week in 2025 with you too!
ReplyDeleteThe Grinch tablescape is great and the valentine's table is gorgeous! Thanks for hosting
ReplyDeleteI was watching a Brit series on Christmas crafting and each week there is a competition. The last one I saw was tablescaping. They did a fine job. You would put them to shame! Fantastic -- Last February and New Year's too! Thanks for hosting, Linda!

Glad you're doing well. Happy New Year. AGAIN, another GREAT party FULL of inspiring projects and recipes - a GREAT way to start the year. Thanks for hosting! I brought BALSAMIC BASIL TOMATOES, WHITE BOLOGNESE SAUCE and CRANBERRY WHITE CHOCOLATE MACAROONS. Have a WONDERFUL week.
ReplyDeleteThe chicken parmesan sliders are a good idea, every likes the original dish and it's a nice change from the usual ham and cheese or burger. The Grinch table isn't my cup of tea, canned pea green is about the most offensive color on the planet. Looks like a jar of strained peas babyfood, it would be better to find Grinch plates in bright green.
ReplyDeleteLinda, Thank you for hosting, I appreciate it. Melynda @scratchmadefood!
ReplyDeleteGreat new year features, Linda. My husband kept one eye without correction, and loves it for reading. He has to wear glasses just for driving. I have a girlfriend who not only had both dones (Dec), but is also having fine-tuning with UV for bifocal ability and permanency. Not sure I would go that route!
ReplyDeleteGlad your surgery went well. Thank you for hosting and happy new year!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear your eye surgery went well!
ReplyDeleteGlad your surgery went well, and Happy New Year, Linda!!
ReplyDeleteI would hold off on having your other eye done..There is always a risk and you can have it done later if needed..I only had one done because I'm nearsighted in one eye and farsighted in the other..I had my farsighted one done so I could see to drive..I can still read with the other one..I have read with one and seen at a distance all my life so I'm still doing that..You won't know the difference..Just an opinion..I'm a bit older than you are and will probably never have the other one done..20/30 vision isn't bad enough to warrant cataract surgery???
ReplyDeleteLove your New Years features..Thanks for sharing..
