Ooh la la! A Parisian Tablescape

Welcome friends to my Parisian table filled with touches of romance. Since Paris is called the City of Love, 💗 I wanted to capture the essence of this lovely city of romance. With "je t'aime" echoing through shops and streets, it's not hard to catch the Parisian spirit of expressing love!

I am happy to be part of another Valentine's Day Blog Hop organized by our gracious friend, Rita from Panoply. You will find 17 other Valentine tables for your enjoyment toward the bottom of this post.

I decided to decorate with black and white striped umbrellas and  a tablecloth for a French look. Pink, black and gold are my chosen colors for this dramatic table. I attached pink roses lining the top of the umbrellas. You know in Paris, the city is full of gorgeous flowers.  I love seeing the flowing flowers from window boxes.
Paul and I visited years ago and loved this romantic city. I hope we get to visit again.  I would love to visit Provence. We also went on a barge trip through Burgundy.

Since most of you know, I love decorating my chandelier as well.  I hung pink glitter hearts, along with a floral heart I created. The black candelabras create a nice contrast with pink candles.
The plate stack consists of a rose gold chargers, gold flatware, light pink square baroque plates with a pink rose napkin ring on a black napkin.  The Eiffel tower sits center stage. Pink champagne flutes are ready for Raspberry Cream Mimosas with my brunch. My tall black goblets always make a statement.
Paris is known for it's gourmet cuisine.  Fresh baguettes from the boulangeries, delicious pastries from a Patisserie and yummy Café au lait. I am creating a dessert table in the Breakfast room with a variety of desserts.  I shall be sharing later this week.

The gorgeous pink roses are from my thoughtful hubby who ordered them early for my Valentine table.
I added these darling little Paris favor bags to each place setting.  A rose gold table runner ties in with my rose gold plate chargers.
These vibrant pink roses caught my eye from the local grocery store, so I added them to the other side of the Eiffel tower.  They are opening up beautifully.

Since I only had 6 place settings of the pink Baroque plates, I added these black and white French plates at the ends of the table.

This table is set for 8.  I am hosting two Valentine brunches in February. One for friends and neighbors and the other one for my clogging gals.
I also created place cards for each guest.

This Biatch lip bottle caught my attention on Instagram. Of course I had to order one for my table of love.  They have an assortment of colors to choose from. The bottles contain tequila.
Created by women for women.

 "Bon appetite!"
.

I hope you take the time to visit all of the table stylists table and be inspired. Thank you for visiting.

  1. Wow, Linda!! This is a fabulous tablescape! I want to be there! I can imagine the excitement of entering and being handed a bubbly raspberry mimosa and oohing (la la-ing!) over all these details. The umbrella and tablecloth with those black and white stripes are so very French, and all the roses such a feminine touch. This is a great mix of masculine/feminine appeal. The menu sounds so good. What lucky guests who are invited to your home for these treats. Always a hostess who pulls out all the stops to carry out a theme, thank you for sharing your love of tablescaping and entertaining in this hop. You are appreciated!

  12. Linda your table is stunning and I love the use of umbrellas as it reminds me of a "tea party" I hosted about 8 years ago as I used pink umbrellas hanging from the ceiling as well as opened pink umbrellas adorning the ends of the serving table. Such fun! The black and white striped table covering is perfect in your Parisian theme. "How are you gonna keep 'em down on the farm after they've seen Paree?".....your menu sounds wonderful and your guests will be treated to a wonderful experience. Sounds like you are going to be busy for the next few days. Happy Valentine's Day.

  22. Your menu looks fabulous, Linda, but you could serve potato chips and diet pop at that table with oreos for dessert and no one would leave feeling cheated! (Well, someone would, but then there's someone in every crowd, right?). That table is so gorgeous, it wouldn't matter what was served! I love your Parisian theme and also your fabulous chandelier, which lends itself so well to such things. That tablecloth rocks!
